My name is John Hilbert and I work with Bernard and Trish on the state side. As of now Bernard and Trish cannot access their hotmail email. I can access their hotmail from the states and Bernard asked me to use his address book to notify everyone of their NEW email address which Bernardandtrish@yahoo.com Please use this address.Also I would like to put a request out there for prayer for Trish. Trish Cohen needs prayers right away. Last week Sarah accidentally kicked Trish in the eye while playing. When Trish first went to the Dr and he said everything looked okay. But Trish has been having problems (seeing stars, light flashes, etc., with her eye ever since and she went back today and she has a "de-tached retina." Bernard and Trish are looking for a DR to due surgery as soon as it can possibly be done...today if possible, before it gets worse and becomes totally detached

Bernard called and as of 6pm our time Trish was admitted to a multi medical center in Guatemala and is undergoing all the pre-test to surgery tonight on her eye, which will happen about 7am our time Friday morning. Please keep her in prayer as this surgery will be to repair the retina which is at the upper part of her eye. About 1/4 of it is detached. It should be about a two hour surgery and her recovery will be at least 15 days. They won't know if the surgery was successful until about 3 days after then the Dr. said the next couple weeks she will be in a lot of pain and feel very uncomfortable. Bernard said the Dr is top notch and speaks English. God is working in all of this and as he has gotten everything set for Trish.

Dear All,

Hallelujah! we have finally arrived in the 21st century. Today we received Direct TV AND satellite internet in our home on the mountain. Now, finally we can communicate immediately with both blessings and needs.

Update on Ana. She had an ultrasound yesterday and it looks like she will have a healthy baby girl sometime the end of March. She will return to the factory right after Christmas.

Luisa has returned to the factory after several months of severe personal problems following the death of her husband. Please keep her in prayer, the Lord is working on her.

We have added the 5 children of Graciela to our project. She has moved with her mom (Berta) the woman with uterine cancer, because her husband is not only physically abusive, but does not give them money for food. Graciela received Christ before we were in the States and has been faithfully attending our church.

Iliana, one of our teacher assistants, had a beautiful baby girl on Nov.12th. The last two babies were born on Bernard's birthday. What do you think of that!

We have also added 4 children of Luciana to our project. While we were in States, her mate was struck and killed by a lightning bolt while working in the field. He was 32. The four children were hers from a previous relationship. She also has a baby still nursing, but will attend the project when weaned.

We are busily restocking the supplies and preparing for two groups before our Christmas break on the 14th of Dec. The project is full of laughter and the sound of children once again.
