December 19th 2004
I can hardly believe that it is Christmas time again. It has been an eventual year in our church. We have had victories along with our struggles, but Christ has been especially good to us. We still see his hand of direction upon our church.
I appreciate your support of my pastorate. The families of the church have been exceptionally kind to Linda and me this year. We recognize your love and support and sincerely appreciate it.
I challenge you to make 2005 the greatest year in our church by maximizing your efforts to make our church effective in labor therein. We have a dedicated staff of workers to meet the needs of the people that we win to Christ and His Church. We have space to grow.
Your prayers are needed. We will do little if we do not saturate our efforts with prayers. When we challenge Satan by winning lost people to Christ we will face opposition. This is a reason for us to prayerfully seek God’s help.
Your suggestions are welcomed. If you have an idea that will benefit our church we want to hear it. We understand that God often gives new ideas and new visions to those that are diligently seeking his advice.
Your cheerful participation in the ministries and activities of the church is encouraged. Happy people working together harmoniously are a good advertisement to the community where the church is situated. It is witness to the fact that we love each other and that trait proves our commitment to Christ and the Great Commission.
Have a blessed Christmas. Enjoy the food and fellowship of family and friends. Don’t forget the reason of the season. Keep Christ in your Christmas celebration.
