Transferred To Heaven
Leo Jones. On march 4th, 1973 Leo visited our church and got saved. He was a very important person in the days of our stay at 541 Levittown Parkway. On May 13th 1972. he joined the church. His favorite song was " Standing on the Promises." On October 13, 1975, he left earth for Heaven.
Bertha Haught was the aunt of Jerry Tow, a Church of God minister. She gave her heart to Christ in our church. They moved to Alabama to be close family. In 1978 she got her transfer to Heaven.
Zeplin Lee was one of the pioneers of our church. He was our adult Sunday School teacher all of his stay in our church. On April 22, 1979, he left earth for Heaven from the old Delaware Valley Hospital.
Dorthea Beach was a Cherokee Indian. She attended church with Melva Madden. During the service someone spoke in tongues in perfect Cherokee. Dorthea raced to the altar at the conclusion of the operation of tonques and gave her heart to Christ. In 1984 she got her transfer to heaven.
Edgar Hulett was raised as a Catholic. He attended our church with his wife, Trudy. He gave his heart to Christ and was a vital person at the Bristol Medi-Center ministry. On Wednesday, February 20, 1985, he left earth for Heaven from the Delaware Valley Hospital.
William Myers went to a mortician to pre-arrange his funeral. When asked to name a minister he was stumped. He began a search to find a minister for his funeral when he stopped at our church. He got saved and fell in love with our church. He was the son of an Assemblies of God Evangelist who lived a very sinful life. On October 12, 1986, he left earth from St. Mary's Hospital.
Beverly Sancken was the sister of Marion Waters. She was a vibrant Christian before she attended our church. She was a blessing to our church. On April 9, 1987, she left from the Lower Bucks Hospital for Heaven.
Robert Lee was a faithful member of our church. He was very supportive of our building a gymnatorium. He loved to cook Chinese food for his pastor. On February 24, 1988, from his home on Hollyhock Lane he went home to Heaven. I was with him when he died.
I Robert Graham was reared in a Christian home in western PA. On September 8, 1973, during my ordination service he walked down the aisle and gave his life to Christ. As he was praying he threw a pack of Camels across the church saying, " I can give them up to Jesus for my salvation. " He and Hazel retired to the Pocono's. On October 2, 1989, he left the Giesinger Medical Center for Glory.
Nina Merriman was saved in the crusade of Billy Sunday. They joined the Church of God in Knoxville, Tennessee. In 1991 she got her transfer to Heaven.
Dorothy Krause was brought to our church by Billy Martino. She worshipped with us at Pen Ryn. She loved our worship. On October 10, 1990, I was at her side when the life support was removed and she quietly slipped away to Heaven.
Mary McKinnon was a faithful member of our church for several years. She really wanted to get her family in church and on the road to Heaven. On September 18, 1992, Mary got her transfer to Heaven.
Elizabeth Radona was a faithful member of our church for many years. She was a classy lady who always dressed in bright dresses. For a few years she was unable to attend church but she called me nearly every day for prayer. She left Attleboro Rest Home for Heaven in 1993. I was away and Vincent Petaccio preached her funeral.
Ida McClave started to attend our church in 1966. The day that she joined the church she received the baptism in the Holy Ghost. She was a faithful member till they retired in West Virginia. They moved back to PA and she rejoined our church. On January 19, 1995, she left Delaware Valley Hospital for Heaven.
Trudyt Hulett was a faithful member of our church. She was active in the S.A.F.E. She returned to New Castle after Ed's death but she never removed her membership from our church. On January 20, 1995, she had a massive stroke and left us for Heaven.
Loretta Mullins was a faithful member of our church before contacting AIDS from her dentist's office. She and Bruce moved upstate to live. On January 12, 1995, she left Neshaminy Maner Rest Home for Heaven.
Samuel Mckinnon joined our church on October 25, 1992. This was the day that we officially transferred his wife, Mary's, name from our membership roll to Heaven's. He wanted to take her place on our membership list. Sam bowled on our church team. On April 24, 1995, he left us for Heaven.
Robert Wisor attended our church for several years. Months before he died he came to church to thank us for our ministry to him. I was able to attend his funeral in Morrisville.
Billy Martino ran the front end loader when we had to redo our church foundation. He and I became friends and he joined our church. He moved to Tennessee where he died. A couple of years ago I preached a funeral and the Dad of the deceased said that Billy repreached my Sunday sermon to him each Monday morning.
Dorothy Ritter was a very nice, upbeat member of our church. She drove her vintage yellow Mustang to church each Sunday. On May 8, 1998, she left us for heaven.
Sandy French was a very troubled lady who found peace with God in our church. I spent hundreds of hours counseling and praying with Sandy. On March 17, 1999, she got her transfer to Heaven from Delaware Valley Hospital.
Brenda Tierry was a blessed Christian lady. She was a real blessing to our church. When she found out that she had cancer she got on her knees and God refilled her with the Holy Ghost. On June 29, 1999, she left a Philadelphia hospital for Glory.
Hazel Graham was a gracious Christian lady, who especially liked the ministry of S.A.F.E. She made a lot of things to be sold by the Ladies' Ministries. She attended our church in the earliest days of our existence. After Bob died she returned to this area and attended our church till her transfer to Heaven on January 25, 2000.
Frank Inman needed a minister to pray for his wife, who was a patient at the Silver Lake Rest Home. He met me one day and we became friends. He surrendered his life to Christ and became a faithful member. He was a dear friend to me. On May 27,2000. he left his home for Glory.
Nick Canto gave his heart to the Lord in the first revival in our church in 1972. In the last days of his life I visited and prayed with him in the hospital. On October 8,2000,he left earth for eternity.
Florence Delk was a dedicated Christian lady who attended our church for a few years. She unselfishly helped us acquire many needed items when we moved into our present church. On December 11, 2000,she left the Baptist Home for Heaven.
Domenic DiRosa was a quiet fellow who gave his heart to Christ and joined our church. He and Shirly retired to Florida. He did not remove his membership from our church. On February 17,2002 he left us for Heaven.
Thomas McClave was an Irishman who got saved in our church. The next week he began to tithe and faithfully support our church. After retirement in West Virginia Mac returned to PA and attended our church till his departure from the Langhorne Gardens Nursing Home for Heaven on February 20,2002.
Edward Fisher joined our church on July 27, 1980. He said that he had given up his beer for Jesus. He was a dedicated church member who loved God and his friends in the church. On December 4, 2002, he slipped away to his eternal reward.
Malcolm Hunter started to attend our church after the death of his wife. He moved to the Poconos to be close to his daughter. On May 30, 2003, he got his promotion to Heaven.
John Sayko started to attend our church soon after we moved into the present facilities. He joined the church on January 29, 1991. He moved to North Carolina for a couple of years. The past few years were tough years for John. On January 19, 2005, God called him home.
Betty Sayko accompanied her husband to our church. She was very dedicated to her family. She spent the last few years battling sickness. On April 23, 2005, she left the Silver Lake Rest Home for Heaven.
